Uni Survival Starter Kit
Provide kits for 100 new Indigenous students over a two year period to equip them with the basic living essentials needed to successfully transition to university (e.g. laptop, software, headphones, linen, stationery and backpack). Mitigates anxiety and shame felt by being inadequately prepared to tackle daily university life, ensuring that students start out on the right foot to build their independence and succeed.
ReNew Properties Startup
Dismantle are looking to expand their offering to graduates from their Bike Rescue mentoring program, having identified that participants need longer to be successful in attaining sustainable employment. Participants will work alongside ReNew maintenance staff learning property maintenance skills and progress through a program of vocational training and paid work experience, ensuring a longer transition and mentorship period on the way to the workforce. Impact: 60 individuals over 2 years, 60 individuals year on year thereafter.
Catergirls Catering Expansion
Purchase and fit out a refrigerated vehicle and provide more supported training thereby acting as a catalyst for expansion of Catergirls. Young women learn important work development skills, develop self-confidence and self-worth. They receive training in all aspects of hospitality enabling them to acquire valuable ‘on the job’ experience.
Wheatbelt Warriors and Wellbeing in WA
To increase engagement, education, empowerment for Indigenous girls in the Narrogin community using a program of netball, a health and wellbeing framework and a range of reward activities, within a culturally integrated program. Expanding range to cover Years 5-12 (from current situation of only Years 7-9) – ie. from 25 girls to 100 girls engaged.
Positive Pathways to Safety for Women and Children
Provide workshops, inter-agency advocacy and coaching to women and children impacted by family and domestic violence. To increase economic empowerment, safety, family-wellbeing. To decrease generational recidivism and break the cycle. 40 workshops (80 sessions), 50 hours of advocacy, 30 coaching sessions, approx 200-250 women to attend in total.
