Thank you for checking in on Dandjoo Darbalung.
We still have over 50 Aboriginal students here at the college with 34 departing early for the break. Lots of logging on and zoom calls happening. Many students have started returning due to unsuitable study conditions at home.
Students who have stayed really appreciate the space and being able to come down to the cultural centre and try to keep to their normal timetable.
We are also looking at the possibility of having High School Students (who usually board in Perth) to return to Perth and stay here at St Catherine’s during term time while this whole situation continues to unfold. Without a laptop, internet access and support, home-schooling is a disaster for these students. The students I have spoken to are so lost.
