Once again, our amazing donors, supporters, and volunteers came together for an unforgettable evening of generosity, connection, and impact. π
π₯ Headline news:
We pooled enough funds to award THREE transformational Primary Grants of $100,000 each! π
The thoroughly deserving recipients are:
π Constable Care β Reel Talk, engaging young people at Banksia Hill Juvenile Detention Centre.
π» Samβs Spares β Get One, Give One, selling refurbished tech to gift the same to people in need.
π Short Back & Sidewalks β expanding free haircutting services for people experiencing homelessness across Perth Metro.
(You can check out more info on these projects here: 2025 Grant Recipients)
But wait, thereβs moreβ¦ π
At the start of the evening we knew we had enough funds to make those 3 Primary Grants. But there was nothing in the coffers for our other two deserving finalists – and we really didnβt want them to leave empty-handed after all the time and effort theyβd invested. So, we turned to the room to see if we could raise a little more – and our guests came through brilliantly!
The Minor Grants started the night at zero and, thanks to incredible generosity in the room, they grew into two grants of $15,000 each! π
These went to our equally inspiring Finalists:
π¦ Busselton Hospice Care
π Transfolk WA
And the magic didnβt stop thereβ¦
An anonymous donor was so moved by Transfolk WAβs pitch that they gifted an extra $10,000! π WOW!
We are so proud β and so grateful β to every one of our super-generous donors. Youβre creating powerful, positive change right here in WA. π
Huge thanks to:
